Teens & Adults Hybrid Summer Library Program 2021:

Teens & Adults can download and print the PDF or register online or stop in and fill out the form.

Register between May 11 and June 2.

Teens (6th-12th): Wednesdays at 4:00PM
Adults: Thursdays at 6:00PM (July 8 is at 5PM)
(combined session on July 15 at 6PM)

"Book Tasting" open house on Saturday, June 12 from 9:00 until 12:00. Pick up a schedule of summer events, set goals, sample books from different areas of the library, and teens can register for book box "subscription".

We strive to make the summer library program as accessible as possible. So, if you are unable to attend any or all of the sessions in person, just let us know and we can have an activity bag prepared for you.

Teens & Adults can download and print the PDF or register online or stop in and fill out the form.

Register between May 11 and June 2.

Group 1: 3 yrs & younger- 10:00-10:50am
Group 2: K-5th- 11:00-11:50am
Group 3: K-5th- 1:00-1:50pm
Group 4: K-5th- 2:00-2:50pm

K-5th grade can sign up for one time slot (group 2, 3 or 4) to attend, maximum attendance per group is 25.   

What makes it hybrid?
We have decided to make the summer library program as accessible as possible. So, if your child/children are unable to attend any or all of the sessions in person, just let us know and we can have an activity bag prepared ahead of time.
 
What do you do if you have children of different ages?
Sign up for a group time (2, 3, or 4) and let us know how many you will be bringing. However, children 3 yrs and younger must attend group 1 with someone 14 yrs or older.

Crafts:

Have you ever wanted to do a quick craft, but didn't want to but a whole 100ft package of rope to only use 3ft? Each month we offer a different craft activity and provide materials to complete them. Some crafts made in the past include: wreaths, fairy gardens, cookie plates, and Valentine's candles.

20 participants maximum, $5 fee payable to Sumner Public Library Foundation (to offset a portion of the cost for supplies) due at time of registration. Cash and check are accepted, please make checks payable to "Sumner Public Library Foundation".

Suggested age 10+.

Comfort Crafts:

You deserve to pamper yourself! Participants learn how to make your own items. Each month we offer a different craft activity and provide materials to complete them. Some comfort crafts made in the past include: milk bath mix, deodorant, and beard oil. Each monthly class offers a new experience. Comfort Crafts are lead by our library assistant, Sara.

Card Ladies:

Wednesdays: 1:00-3:30PM play Shafkopf (sheepshead) in the Local History Room.

Thursdays: 1:00-3:30PM play 500 in the Program Room.
