Step back in time and explore the history of American innovation when the John Deere Tractor and Engine Museum visits the library on Friday, June 26 at 11:00 AM! Learn about the evolution of tractors and engines, discover fascinating stories from agricultural history, and enjoy a fun and educational presentation for all ages. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a farm equipment fan, or simply curious about Iowa’s agricultural heritage, this special visit is sure to inspire and entertain.

Remembering the Apron

Presenter Sheila Craig, a grandmother and longtime apron collector, brings her interactive program, Remembering the Apron, for a nostalgic look at the history, styles, fabrics, and uses of aprons, including examples worn by men. Guests will see about 100 aprons from her 400-piece collection and are invited to reminisce about family memories connected to aprons.
A retired University of Minnesota Extension Educator from Preston, Minnesota, Sheila has presented apron programs for libraries, churches, and care facilities for more than 20 years.
